Wind Tunnel-Water

The wind tunnel-circulating water channel is used for the research on hydrodynamic performance of ship and ocean structure in the integrated environments of wind, waves, currents and stratified flows. Such as wind load or wind pressure test on building, ship and ocean structure, flow field measurement by PIV and fluid field visualization test, wind induced vibration test.
 
Equipped with:
WIND TUNNEL:
Test section A: 16.0m×3.0m×2.5m, with max wind velocity of 60m/s,
Test section B: 14.0m×6.0m×3.5m, with max wind velocity of 20m/s,
Test section C: 3.9m×2.6m×1.0m, over the water, with max wind velocity of 30m/s,
The velocity profile of atmospheric boundary layer.
WATER CIRCULAR CHANNEL
Measuring unit: 8.0m long, 3.0m wide and 1.6m deep (water), and its maximum flow velocity is 3m/s.
A surface flow accelerating device, surface wave and internal wave generating devices
Instrumentation
Non-contact six degrees of freedom motion meters, covering water circular channel.
Wave probes, doppler flow velocity meter and hot wire anemometer
Flow field measurement: Particle image velocity measurement and Laser Doppler Velocimetry
