| On the occasion of the opening ceremony of the China Deepwater Offshore Basin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the Deepwater Offshore Technology Symposium 2008, DTec 2008, will be held in Shanghai, China on 17-19 November 2008. The symposium is jointly organized by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China Texas A&M University, USA and is sponsored by Chinese Ocean Engineering Society (COES), China Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), USA American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), USA Det Norske Veritas (DNV), Norway Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipyard, China The symposium will provide a rare opportunity for worldwide experts, scholars, engineers and consultants from academia and industry to exchange information and views on deepwater offshore technology, to discuss new concepts and state-of-art technologies for deepwater exploration of petroleum and gas, as well as to promote potential collaboration in the future. |
